What is Eternal Fire Protection?

As a fire protection company, we understand the importance of being prepared ahead of time. A fire extinguisher is a simple but powerful tool that can stop a small fire from becoming a devastating loss. It provides a measure of temporary protection for people and property and we are honored to serve our neighbors and provide that peace of mind to the glory of God.

However, the Gospel of Jesus Christ offers an even greater form of protection that lasts forever.

A fire extinguisher helps protect us from the dangers of physical fire, but the Gospel tells us how God rescues sinners from eternal destruction and separation from Him through Jesus Christ. A fire extinguisher must be available before an emergency occurs; In the same way, the message of salvation through Jesus Christ must be received before we stand before an infinitely Holy God. As with fire emergencies, waiting until a building is engulfed in flames is too late. Likewise, God’s word teaches us that “it is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment” (Hebrews 9:27).

Why does this matter?

Fire extinguishers are needed because we recognize that emergencies can happen unexpectedly and we have a duty to protect and preserve the lives of those made in God’s image (Exodus 20:13). The Gospel addresses an even greater reality: every person will one day stand before God and give an account of their life. The bad news is that “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23) and “The wages of sin is death” (Romans 6:23). Sin is any thought, word, deed, or desire that violates God’s holy law and we are all guilty. The penalty we earn by breaking God’s law is both physical death and eternal separation from God under His righteous judgment. Make no mistake, hell is real and Jesus described it as a place of eternal torment where the fire never goes out (Mark 9:48).

Now for the good news: You can be forgiven and rescued from God’s coming judgment by repenting of your sins and placing your trust in the Lord Jesus Christ alone for salvation.

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life."
John 3:16

"If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved"

Romans 10:9

You see, our rebellion against God is so terrible, that God’s justice requires eternal punishment. Sin must be punished and we deserve to pay for our sin against God forever.

However, through His life of perfect obedience, His death on the cross in the place of sinners, and His victorious resurrection from the dead, Jesus Christ provides forgiveness, redemption, and eternal life to all who repent and trust in Him. More than escaping the fires of judgment, salvation restores us to a right relationship with the God who created us and loved us enough to send His Son for sinners like us.

While we are committed to protecting lives and property through quality fire protection services, we cannot ignore your greatest need. We love people and we believe it would be wrong to focus only on temporary protection while ignoring the eternal need that every one of us has. The Gospel of Jesus Christ solves the problem that every one of us must face someday and our never-dying soul must be ready.

That’s why our mission extends beyond merely safeguarding the physical. We strive to serve our customers with integrity, excellence, and Christ-centered values, knowing that protecting people physically is important, but sharing the hope found in Jesus Christ is of even greater significance. That’s why we chose the name Eternal Fire Protection.

A fire extinguisher can save a person or building from a fire.

Jesus Christ saves sinners from the eternal fire of hell.

Both are mercies of God, but one has eternal consequences.

So out of love for our neighbors and fellow image-bearers, we ask the most important question we can:

Are you eternally protected?

If not, we urge you today to turn from your sin and trust in Jesus Christ. God’s promise is that all who call upon the name of the Lord will be saved. (Romans 10:13)

If so, we encourage you to continue to trust and obey Christ by declaring your faith publicly through baptism and becoming a member of a healthy, Bible-believing church where you can grow in your faith and love for the One who first loved us. (Romans 5:8)
